The Greenwood Art Project was a Public Art Challenge funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies. The initiative, directed by Lead Artist Rick Lowe, sought to unite artists, community, and businesses in a way that raised awareness of Greenwood’s history, including the 1921 Race Massacre and the once-thriving Black Wall Street.
